Surprise, I did it!

Although it never appears that my husband is ever listening to me, he always seems to surprise me at just the right moments.  I was expressing over & over again how I would like to try to make our little one's baby food.  Jason always said "oh that takes to much time & money", all while I'm thinking of how much money we could save.  So I open a gift at Christmas and what is it you ask.... A baby bullet!!!  I was so happy, nervous because I have never even really used a blender, but so happy.

I did a little research & found some great websites with wonderful little recipes that I just made my own. I thought about what I was already feeding him & started to just recreate those.  I started with sweet potato & apple, simply cutting into cubes & then roasting in the oven for about 30 to 45min.  I am still trying to get the time just right because the sweet potato takes longer to cook than the apples.  I just made it this week for the second time & think that I out did myself, it was very yummy!

By far my favorite has been the roasted banana & pear, I never knew that bananas warmed would be so yummy!!!  I think I may like them more than little man.

Point to my story here, while nervous & happy, I put my mind to it & did it, proving that hope can be achieved!!

New Year 2012

I heard on the news the other day people talking about what they plan to do for the new year & instead of saying that is was there resolution, they said it was their hope.  I loved hearing it put that way, because it is your hope for a new year to be better.  Hope also makes it feel not so stressful or that there may be failure involved.  So it is with great hope that for 2012 I become happy in all aspects of my life, whatever that may be.

So please look forward to more post & a happier, healthier me!
